EPA considering a tax on cows and pigs in order to regulate greenhouse gases under the Clear Air Act. Under the proposal, states could charge $175.00 per dairy cow, $87.50 per beef cow and a little more than $20.00 per pig. Comments can be made at
www.stopepa.com or mail to Air and Radiation Docket and Information Center, Environmental Protection Agency, Mailcode: 2822T, 1200 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20460; RE: Docket ID No. EPA-HQ-OAR-2008-0318. The comment deadline for the cow and pig tax is Friday, Nov. 28th.
